About

Construction Safety Nova Scotia is an industry founded and funded membership based not-for-profit association. We are focused on improving Occupational Health & Safety outcomes in the construction industry. In keeping with the organization’s vision to reduce workplace incidents in the construction industry in Nova Scotia, Construction Safety Nova Scotia has created this OHS Guide to make applicable provincial legislation and resources more accessible to stakeholders.

This OHS Guide presents key topics to assist you – Nova Scotia’s employers and employees – in understanding your legislative obligations within your workplaces. The regulatory requirements are provided in a summarized format with links to the relevant sections of the legislation. For specific requirements the user should refer back to the legislation.

Construction Safety Nova Scotia resources are viewable within the OHS Guide. For customizable word format versions of the resources they can be downloaded from our resource room at https://constructionsafetyns.ca/products-resources/safety-resources/.

These documents have been provided to help keep our workforce healthy and safe. We hope you find them useful. The resource may be shared for educational purposes but credit must be given to CSNS. The resources may not be redistributed for profit. They may not be modified or reproduced without the permission of Construction Safety Nova Scotia.
